Okay so my sister's blog said that everyone who read her blog had to go to their my pictures files and post the 3rd picture from their 3rd folder in there. It is nice to get an explanation of what it is and when you took it, ect. This particular picture was inspired by a photography book that I was reading at the time. It said to grab your camera and take 30 pictures of your house and inevitably you would find something interesting or stating something about you or your house. I took a lot of pictures and scrapped most of them since it just showed my crazy house with no pictures on my walls (I have lived here nearly 2 years and I haven't settled in enough to decide where my pictures should go on my walls, I must be neurotic!?). This picture is of my bathroom bottles. I think it is cool how I only chose to "see" blue through my camera. I like the characters of the bottles that I have collected. (c:

Christmas Blues and Reds and Greens.
I have so much to say and not nearly enough time to write it all out. I finally dragged my Christmas decorations out and decided to put about half of them up. I have a white tree with white lights and 100 cheaply made plastic shatterproof ornaments of varying shapes to choose from. This year I did red, green and silver ornaments. It looks okay. I keep promising myself to buy decent ornaments next year. I don't know why it seems like so much work to put up decorations but it does to me. I swear I am becoming more and more of a humbug every year (is this why older people don't even put up a tree anymore after all those Christmases?). I think part of that is because I have no family or friends around to decorate for. I am not excited for Christmas at all. I think I know pretty much what I am getting, and I don't have any Christmas parties to go to. All Christmas will mean to me is that I will be very tired this year since I will be working extra long hours the few days before. Sad. Does anyone have a prescription for the Christmas blues? Nah, I will just paint on my smile and ask, "Would you like a donut with that?"
I finished The Host Sunday night. It was good. I liked the fact that the main character ends up with the guy that I would have chosen. I have found that in so many movies and books the girl ends up with what I would define as the wrong boy; but I have to shake my head and say that it is her choice. Heck I ended up with the wrong boy on one occasion myself. Who am I to judge?
So Wayne is registering for classes. He is going to take an English placement test today to see if he can skip the beginners English class. He is striving to study math so that he can take Calculus instead of Pre-Calc. He worries about if he will do well in school. I know that he will do just fine. He is a smart cookie. I convinced him to take Psychology as his social science (surprise, surprise?), I told him that he would have a personal tutor/study mate.

No news is good news
Okay, so I have been thinking about what to write about for the past couple of weeks. Not much has been new in my life. I am bracing myself for the holidays to come. Work is... well work. Thanksgiving is next week and Wayne's folks should be coming to visit. Christmas shopping is mostly done. (c;
Wayne and I have been reading the addicting Twilight series. We are on the 4th book and today we went to go see the movie. The movie was good but completely different from the books. We all know how Hollywood can mess up a good book. Oh well.
I keep having these profound thoughts about life that I want to elaborate on for this blog and then when I get home from work I am too tired to think about it. Then when I have time I have forgotten what I was going to say. No news is good news right?

Trip to Utah
I flew down to Utah to see my mom on the 18th of October. We had a great time. We went to see the Golden Spike and this cool arch near there.

Then to see my Aunt Glenda in Logan and we got to see the temple there.
Sunday we drove down to
Scipio to spend time with my Grandma. Monday we drove to Provo passed this cool pumpkin patch
and Manti.

In Provo we saw the movie the Duchess. It was an interesting movie. Tuesday we went to the Clarke Planetarium and saw a cool show in the dome theater. I predicted the weather pattern in eastern Ohio apparently there at the planetarium. We went to the Beehive house and the Lion house for lunch. Then mom got a parking ticket since we were about 5 minutes late getting back to our parking spot. Then we poked around Trolley Square and I flew home to Idaho.

Craziness in crazytown.
Sorry for the long span without a post. I have been kinda busy.
In a nutshell, Wayne got into school. He is going to start taking classes Jan. 20th. He is going into electrical engineering. I am so proud; he is such a great guy.
So at work, all of us at work have been struggling with a girl that they made a person in charge (equal with me in power) and she took over the place. She has only been there 4-5 months and she was telling me when I could take my breaks ect. So everyone complained to our manager. Nothing was done but it did some good. Monday she is working and she says that she feels sick. I am thinking not again, she just wants to go home. I call my manager and she says to not send her home. I tell the troublesome one that she can't go home. So she goes on break. Twenty minutes later I go to look for her and she is gone. G-O-N-E! So I called my manager back and told her that she walked out. Whew! I think some of the drama at work will slow down thankfully. Also we have two new workers and both of them are like little busy bees.
This all happened Monday and I leave for my vacation on Saturday. Which brings me to the next fun thing that is happening. My mom is flying down to Utah and I am going to go see her and play down in Utah with my mom. (c: I am not sure where we are all going but mostly to see family and a few sights. I am so excited. I will post pictures when I get back.
Which brings me to my next crazy thing: I have decided that I haven't done anything with my hair for 3 years and that's long enough. I am dyeing my hair as we speak. I am not sure how that is going to turn out but I will add pictures of before and after when I am done.
Over and out from crazytown.

Boise State University

It's not official yet, but it looks like Wayne is going to follow his dreams to finally go to college. Due to many many many factors he was never able to attend a real university. He hasn't officially been accepted yet but it shouldn't be a problem. He is looking at going into electrical engineering. We visited the campus a few weeks back and spoke with one of the department heads for the ECE (electrical engineering) and it looks like it would be a good fit for Wayne. I think it will be a good investment for us if only I
could find a great job to support us in the meantime.
Anyway it looks like Wayne is going to be a Bronco!
Oh and I found some more videos that make me laugh. I highly recommend them for a good chuckle about a cat.

Fans, diplomas and cats

I am trying to think back what has happened to me in the past few weeks. It has been more or less a blur. I don't think that is a good thing... I worked a lot the past few weeks. My friend Sarah became a cake decorator and the lady that they put in her place is terribly bipolar. The other girl that I work with dislikes and fights with the bipolar one and we hired a new lady who is twice as old as the rest of us. In addition to that, my lazy manager who we all have been struggling with is nearly fired since her manager has finally realized how poor of a manager she is. So I am just sitting back waiting for it to all hit the fan and hoping to stay in the clear and not get too dirty myself.
Wayne is still looking for a job and the more that he looks the more we think that he just needs a good ol' piece of paper saying that he knows more than the average bear. Unfortunately I am hesitant about spending four MORE years in the college era of my life, but if it makes a better life for us in the long run and even more importantly if it makes my husband happy, then I am happy.
On the happy side, the weather has been much cooler and wonderfully warm (70s and 80s). So we have been slightly more active. We were out walking on the greenbelt on Thursday by the quarter to half a million dollar houses and their well-maintained lawns; when I saw a cute brown tabby cat with a collar and a bell around its neck sitting on the top of a log. So I walked up to it very calmly with my hands open talking in soft tones and pet the cat. The cat not only let me pet it but came up and rubbed up against my legs and began to follow me just a sh
ort ways down the trail. Out of the blue this couple of middle aged rich folk started talking out of the shadows behind me. I heard, "Honey that is our cat that she is petting. Can you believe it? She usually won't approach strangers" The man spoke to me in a jovial tone, "Hey that is our attack cat, you better watch out!" I replied that the cat seemed about as much to attack me as my own cat. It just made me laugh. So apparently I am the new cat whisperer in town. If you need your cat tamed then just give me a call.

All the spinning...
We went to the Western Idaho State Fair on Thursday. It was tons of fun. We saw some African acrobats, a comedian/magician, the livestock, the "shortest horse around" (for a small fee of 50cents), and then we rode the rides at the carnival until we were blue in the face. I came home with a headache and all I could say was, "Oh all the spinning!" The previous night we had fun spinning the cat on our office chair and then watching as she stepped off the chair and fell on her face. When I got off one particular ride I told Wayne, "Remember last night when we spun the cat, well I think I have some idea of how she felt afterward."
I got the biggest kick out of the kid in front of me in the ride to the left of this text. I am the one in the white socks since I took my shoes off for this ride. The kid in front of me was about 8 or 9 years old. Every three seconds he kept yelling "Look Mom NO HANDS!!!!" I kept thinking I am sure that your mom is thrilled that you are buckled into a seat and you aren't holding on to anything. If you look closely you can see him.

Then today I went to the eye doctor to find out why I haven't been able to wear my contacts without pain. Well I must be special because the expensive brand and style of contact that I bought last time have a rare effect on certain people in that it causes their cornea to stretch. I am one of those chosen people. Everyone said that the type that I have is much much better for your eyes than the cheaper ones that I am used to. The eye doctor said that I will be going back to my old style of contacts as soon as my eyes heal in about a week. Yippee. I will finally be able to wear my contacts again since it has been over a month since I have been able to comfortably wear contacts. It is a big deal to me.

Life and other fun stuff
A friend of mine wrote me an e-mail about blessings and I am reminded of one of my favorite quotes:
Here are a few that seem to relate to ADVERSITY.
""Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he's been robbed. The fact is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey...delays, side tracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride"
"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. i say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. If you do your best, it will all work out. Put your trust in God and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us,...if we put our trust in Him, if we pray to Him, if we live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers." Gordon B. Hinckley

Life with Blight, sorta
I cannot begin to explain the roller coaster of emotions that I have gone through in the past week and a half.
I believe that my tomato plant has the disease of Blight. I feel like my life has Blight too.
Wayne received a letter stating that his previous employer was appealing his unemployment claim. They had apparently sent an appeal within 4 hours of the deadline. Anyways so the hearing was scheduled for about a week away. We had to prepare a case that he was fired but not for employment related misconduct. We spent the better part of the week preparing for that. We made a statement and came up with some questions to ask the employer's representative and Wayne's previous boss (who was kind of an idiot). The hearing was on the 6th in the morning. The hearing went horribly. Advice to anyone who has legal anythings going on- HAVE AN ATTORNEY ON YOUR SIDE!!!! I cried and cried after the hearing. I felt empty and angry inside and helpless besides. If the appeals examiner decided that the Dept of Labor has erroneously given us unemployment then we would be subject to full repayment of all that we had been paid. If the examiner found that Wayne was fired for other reasons than misconduct we would get the full amount of his unemployment claim. In the meantime on Tuesday Wayne's folks came over to visit us. They spent Thurs and Friday with us.
On Thursday we went to the Idaho Historical Museum downtown and also Julia Davis Park with the beautiful rose gardens there. We had a blast on Thursday. It was good to forget about the predicament that we found ourself in. I will post a few good pictures of the rose garden.
Friday I went to work, and late in the afternoon I get a call from Wayne saying that he got the letter from the appeals examiner stating that her decision was that Wayne was fired but not for employment related misconduct and that we would continue to receive unemployment until the allotted amount of time originally determined. I was SO relieved!!! I just kept saying that I was so surprised that we had won and that things would be okay.
This has been an answer to prayers. I keep telling myself that things are going to get better soon. In the meantime just try to enjoy the view, right?

Same boring life, different day.
Well I would love to tell you that something interesting has happened in my life in the past 17 or so days, but really not too much has happened. I have been working a good bit more than I would like. I got yelled at by an irate and irrational customer. I ate a few of the yummy tomatoes from my patio garden. I have been eating healthier and have lost some more weight. Wayne is still looking for work. My friend and I ratted out my bosses little sister for slacking on the job and we are both waiting to get fired for it. Hopefully we can pass under the radar of the boss until she forgets about it. Wayne and I have been reading the Fablehaven books and enjoying and critiquing them. Wayne is currently writing what we believe to be a rough draft of a children s' book of his own. He has some good ideas for a book. We aren't expecting to go all famous but it would be fun to read a book to our kids that we wrote. It has been hot here (in the 90's). We finally got our stimulus check and we are throwing it at our enormous debt. Wayne is looking at attending school since the jobs are slim pickings here without a BS degree. I told him that I could BS with the best of them since I had been to school.
I saw this picture and I thought that my friends and family could all use a good laugh. So enjoy.
I am quite proud of the graphic that I made of my name for my blog. I started with pen and paper and then used my handy dandy computer to alter the graphic to what it is now.

Netflix profiles

Hooray! I just received an e-mail from Netflix. They are keeping profiles! I am so happy. I am glad that all the complaints really do matter to a big company nowadays.
I have been melting these past few days. I can't wait for a little bit of cooler weather. Sunday it was 105! Sheesh that should be illegal.
Well, YOU
Have a great Day!

Idaho Botanical Gardens
Yesterday I went to the Idaho Botanical Gardens with Wayne and his mom, Lynette. We had a blast and all got sunburned. Here are a few of the pictures that I took (none of these are computer enhanced).
