Wayne finally got his new schedule. We have been waiting and begging and hoping and praying and all that jazz to get a new schedule for him. Getting up at 3:30 AM is NO FUN. Anyway on Monday he starts at a reasonable 8:30AM and goes home at 5PM Monday through Friday. This is great news for us. Yippee!

Happy Arbor Day
Happy Arbor Day everyone from your friend living in the City of Trees. Sometimes I get my best thoughts and inspiration for life while in the company of only trees. There really is something in the hush of the trees that reminds me to slow down and that there is more to life than jobs, bills, and housework.I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the sweet earth's flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Fed the squirrels on a cold day.

I took some stale bread from work and brought home to feed to the ducks. Wayne and I found no ducks out on our chilly walk so we fed some squirrels. This squirrel was making this funny barking sound before I fed it. It made me laugh.

The whole family...almost.

When I got married this time I inherited quite a few more family members. Wayne is from a family of seven with most of the extended family in the southeastern Idaho area. I am from a family of four with no extended family close by. It was quite a shock at first. They are all very nice. This was at Grandma Hale's (Wayne's mother's mother) funeral in February. Pictured from Left to right: Jason, Kaylee, Angela, Jeralin, Malinda, Heather, Dennis, Lynette, Jayla, Kate (who I think is a mini-Melissa), Garth, Wayne and me. Not pictured Heather's husband Seth, and children, Marinda, Hanson, Andra, and Cully. Garth's wife, Melissa and daughter Riley. It's a pity that we have to wait for a sad occasion to all get together.
