Inversion of life

We have been under an inversion here for about 3 weeks. That's my town underneath all those clouds. The good news is that as of today. THE SUN IS OUT AND THE CLOUDS ARE GONE! Hooray!

We got Wayne in school and this being his 4th day of classes he has already read about 200 pages of textbook. The funny thing is that he isn't even ahead in his classes. This is how much his teachers have expected him to read. Textbook reading isn't light reading either. Sheesh! I have been helping where I can. He is in Psychology, Computer science, Calculus and English 102 (the research papers English class).

Tuesday morning Wayne's mother went in for knee replacement surgery and has been in the hospital since then. She needed a blood transfusion after the surgery. Also apparently she suffered a heart attack while in the hospital and as of today they transferred her to the bigger hospital and she is having an angioplasty. Our prayers are with his poor sweet mother.

As for me again, no news is good news. I am working and having troubles keeping everyone working while at work meanwhile keeping the peace. I am amazed that so much anger, swearing, and drama can happen at a donut shop.

Oh, I would write on this more often if I felt like anyone reads this. So if you read this send me a shout out and I will keep posting.

New year

Well I survived the holidays and are glad that they are over and that 2009 is here. Happy New Year! Hooray. I am hoping for a good year. If it is worse than last year I am demanding a refund. *jk*

Life is good. We are getting Wayne ready for school. We bought all of his books, and got him mostly scheduled for classes.

Work is work. We have had a lot of grumpy customers recently and I have a theory about that. I think its the normal customers that we have come into the store but now they are all broke and grumpy. I give it a few more weeks and people should be back to their normal selves. I have noticed that we are still busy at the store which tells me that not too many people are dieting this year. Maybe they decided to pay off debt or quit smoking instead of dieting for the new year. (c;

My friend Joanna was wondering where are the flying cars. I think we were told that in grades school that by now we would be all like the Jetsons. Its funny seeing old movies of the future and the characters step out of their space ships with their highly advanced sci-fi gadgets and acrossed the screen in large numbers is displayed "2008" or something like that I am like, "yeah, right?" Aren't we supposed to have like a space station on Mars and have cars that fold up into a little tiny briefcase? Ah, maybe someday then we won't have to worry about where we parked our car or is that a picture of a two-person lawn-mower?
