So it is spring and beautiful in the City of Trees. I went to the local zoo with my friends and had a blast.

The self-absorbed post
So my good job just vanished. One day I am at work and 10 minutes to 5 my boss calls me aside and tells me that I am no longer needed and not to show up tomorrow. There is no work for me to do but I know the truth. She doesn't trust me with any work since I made that little mistake that put egg on her face. It wasn't my fault that my little mistake was amplified to worse than it would have been. I own up to my mistake but still. Whatever. The past is past right?
"Okay, now what?" So I am thinking, "At least I still have a job to go back to. This isn't as bad as it could be" But I still felt like someone pulled the rug out from underneath me. Like the world turned upside down and wrong side out all at the same moment. I knew that I would have to return to the job that I hate; you know the one that pays what it should if the year was still 1985.
Depression. Depression. Depression. Depression. Depression. Depression. Depression. Depression. Depression. Depression. Depression. Depression. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness. Tears. Anger! Anger! Anger! Anger! Anger! Frustration! Broke. Despair. Exhaustion. Exhaustion. Exhaustion.
Acceptance.
I feel like I am getting better now. Like my life is slowly turning right side up again. Slowly. I am cleaning out my house for spring. It is like clarifying a soup broth. Taking out the things that are not necessary to make the ones that remain more flavorful.
I bought 9 posters for my house. Three of them are paintings by Van Gogh and three are by Monet. Why I am feeling impressionistic? Who knows. Who cares.
I am making jewelry again and cleaning and cooking. It makes me happy. I am happily waiting for spring and warmer weather.
I will try to make my next post less self-absorbed.

Money
"Money, where have you gone to?
Money, where are you hiding?
I said, "Money, why won't you stay a while?"
Money, why don't you like me?
Was it something that I said?
Was it something that I done?
I always let you play me
But you never liked me, none
Money, why don't you like me?"
Lyrics from the song "Money" by Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings

Facebook woes, new job, grandma, ect
I hope that everyone is having a Happy New Year so far. I have been having a good New Year, so far.
HOWEVER, I am disenchanted with the whole facebook experience. I have posted so many times and still no response. I have turned my life upside down and still no response. I shouldn't say no response my dear mother-in-law posts, "That's great!" Bless her, but if something important happens in my life I would pick up the phone and let her know. My immediate family knows what is going on. My facebook is to let my far away friends know what is going on in my life. I have about 100 friends on facebook. I have perhaps 5 people who actually care what goes on in my life and would comment on FB. Let me name them: My mother, my mother-in-law, my sister, my friend Tiffiny in AK, and my friend Jessica in MA. Perhaps I am a bad friend since none of them got a Christmas card this year. Sorry guys. I thought about it really hard. I really did. Maybe you will all get a handwritten letter for the new years. Good idea. If you read this e-mail me your address.
Okay so this is all the stuff going on right now. I got a new job! Christmas came and went and I survived another holiday season! I have really good neighbor friends! I am really into bead-weaving and macrame knotted jewelry. And some bad news- my grandmother is dying. ):
I got a new job perhaps mid-December. They need me part time at a really nice office building. It's an investment/consulting type place. Everyone who works there is educated and friendly. It's quite refreshing not to have drama at every corner and backbiting. No donuts, cakes, or really snobby mean customers snapping at me. I could really get used to a nice office to work at. Oh and I am getting 150% more pay. Nice.
I survived Christmas. I somehow managed to get out of working at the bakery on Christmas eve. Lucky me. Instead of selling $10,000 worth of pastries I relaxed at my in-laws. I got everything I wanted for Christmas which wasn't much but it was nice all the same. I only really wanted a PS3 move bundle and a new job. Score! Wayne got a piano keyboard which he loved.
I partied in the new year with my next door neighbors who have become our best friends. They are poor like us and don't mind board games & movies for entertainment.
I am really into my jewelry making right now. It's fun and I get some new jewelry to wear. It makes me happy and keeps me entertained.
The bad news is that my grandma has viral pneumonia and she isn't doing well. I don't think that she will pull out of this. She is a total sweetheart but the poor lady is 93. She has dementia, is a widow, and pretty lonely. She has lived a good life but she is in poor health at her age. I will miss her when she leaves this world, but I know she will be happier on the other side. She will be with her family. She will be out of the pain that she is in. She has lead a good kind life. She has nothing to fear from death.
Anyway. That's the latest ramblings of this silly Boise girl.
Have a great week out there everyone. Yes, all 3 of you who read this. (;
