I am all about making lists in my life. I live from list to list. If I don't write what needs to be done down it never seems to find the time to get itself done. I don't get caught up in my lists but it helps me to keep my life together. Today while meditating I found myself thinking about where I would like to go with my life. The goals I would like to accomplish before I die came to mind. Some are silly and some are more serious. Here are a few of them:
- Get into better shape
- Get completely out of debt.
- Accept the change in my life
- Let go of the past
- Travel outside of the United States.
- Feel better about who I am and who I am not.
- Have children
- Make a cookbook of the best recipes (IMHO) in the world
- Buy a house
- Identity 100 things that make me happy (besides money)
- Save for retirement
- Record a CD of me singing my favorite songs
- Join a book club.
- Grow my own vegetable garden
- Be fluent in Spanish
- See U2 in concert
- Be a better friend
- Buy my dream car
- Expand my vocabulary
- Make optimism a habit
- Get to bed before 11:30pm every night and be up before 8am every day.
- Journal my life
- Drink more water and eat more vegetables
- Have my name cited in a reputable book
- Be a good role-model for others
- Gain respect from my peers
- Learn how to make (and not throw the dough across the room) pie crust.
- Get my graduate degree.
- Find a better job
- Live without regrets.
- Live the stories that I would like to tell my grand kids someday.
